Where the rulings come from, which standards are used, and how to challenge a figure.

Sources
Every rule the engine applies is recorded in a register with its source and its current verification status. Figures are derived at request time from the same rates cache the app uses; nothing is hardcoded and nothing is stale by design.
Nisāb standards
Two are in scholarly use: 85 g gold / 595 g silver (AAOIFI and most Western charities), and the classical 87.48 g / 612.36 g. You choose, and every result states which produced it and the gram weight it used.
The four schools
Hanafi, Shāfiʿī, Mālikī and Hanbalī are covered. Where they differ — on worn jewellery, on whether metals pool with cash, on which nisāb governs — the result names the position that produced your figure rather than quietly picking one.
Scholarly review
The arithmetic is tested. The fiqh has not yet been reviewed by a qualified scholar, and we will not claim otherwise: every entry in the register is marked provisional until that review completes, and the app refuses to compute from a rule no scholar has checked.
Corrections
If you believe a ruling is wrong, write to us with the source. A correction to the register changes every figure the product produces, which is the point of keeping one.
